The Indian Football Team is set to take on the five times world champion Brazillian Team on a friendly on 3rd October at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata. But the biggest question is that is India totally ready for competing against such a side?

The Brazillians has named their twenty six member squad for their visit to India. This squad includes big names like Vinicious Jr, Raphinha and many other top players who just competed in last World Cup. So can India withstand the quality and temperament these players have while they take on the South American giants. The Brazillian team are definitely way ahead in pace, skills, temperament etc and the Indians are only to gain some experience of how the top football teams are in the game at this moment. They may be go down by a huge margin but still they should mostly focus on learning from the fixture more. 

The Indian squad must be feeling that they have the opportunity to tell their next generation that they have competed against the best in the world. But more to that they should take it as a learning opportunity to uplift Indian football and also to give their best so that they have something they can cherish for long. If India has to see themselves among the top teams in somewhat near future not only they need to compete rather they need to focus on their weaknesses to uplift their game and see themselves to play their first ever Fifa World Cup in future. So this game will provide the Indian team with that opportunity to not only compete rather focus and learn from what they need to uplift and focus in the same in their training and competitive matches upfront to uplift Indian football.

While playing along side the stars the world will also focus on Indian football and this can be taken as an opportunity for Indian team to showcase that they too have that dream and are working hard to make Indian football compete in top level tournaments.

What can be taken?

The major thing Indian team should focus on is definitely not only compete rather take it as a challenge to learn also and uplift Indian football by creating infrastructure for top level training and inject the same intensity that the Brazillian team has to see India in top level tournaments.

This is also the first match Brazil will be playing after the recent World Cup in 2026. So they would also be looking to move on from the disappointment and with a new squad in formation by Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, they will also be determined to show the world that they are going to bring back the Brazillian domination in world football that was there in the end of 20th century. 

So as a whole this friendly is going to have different objectives for both the teams that they can look up to.
